Two Hearts, One Tribe: Carina & Suki’s Beautiful Union at Chigwell Marquees

You know you’re in for something special when a couple’s love story starts with childhood friendship and grows into forever.

I first met Carina and Suki at the top of the year. They spoke with that quiet certainty of two people who’ve known each other not just for years—but through every chapter of growing up. Childhood sweethearts with a deep bond and an even deeper love, they were fully invested in their Big Day. And rightly so: it wasn’t just a wedding – it was the moment two families, two cultures, two TRIBES became one.

And let me tell you… It was magic.

A Family Affair from the Start
From the moment guests began arriving, the atmosphere was electric but warm. This wasn’t your typical “meet the in-laws” wedding. No awkward first introductions here. You could feel it in the way the mums embraced, in the laughter between siblings, and in the easy flow of conversation. It was clear: these families were already family.

There’s something beautiful about watching two well-loved individuals be celebrated by the people who raised them, and who have already accepted their partner as one of their own.

Umbrellas, Naan Bread & All the Best Laid Plans
The skies were heavy with grey as we set off, and yes, we turned around to grab the bridal umbrellas. Just in case. But by the time we arrived at The Chigwell Marquees, the clouds had lightened and the day began to unfold beautifully.

Inside, the transformation was already underway. The British Asian Catering team had set up the tables, aisles, and décor with precision. The stage glowed, chairs were neatly in place, and the draping? Fabulous. Just the right amount of drama.

Carina was still in the chair, radiant already, being prepped by the talented Faizaa Bridal. Meanwhile, The Wedding Society (shoutout to Ben & Sam!) were hands-on as always, setting up bridal favours with care and a few jokes to keep the mood light.

When the Food & Fun Take Centre Stage
Back in the kitchen, Gurdeep from The Curry Club was already working magic. The aroma of naan and sizzling tandoor filled the air, and judging by the grin on Sam’s face, this was the moment he’d been waiting for.

The Bearded Man Cocktails team rolled in next, ready to serve up a colourful menu of non-alcoholic mocktails later in the afternoon. While the Cocktail Queen in me may have sighed a little at the lack of alcohol, the setup? Impressive. Their crate game was STRONG.

Over by the stage, Zara from CakeBaeLdn worked her cake magic, placing the stunning creation centre-stage (sadly, I didn’t get to try it… still not over that).

And for those who love art that captures the moment as it happens, Vivid by Maryam and her assistant were on-site doing live illustration. I was too busy to take a proper peek, but I have no doubt it was breathtaking.

And Then the Music Played…
Equipment cases rolled in by the truckload (Mario Testino would be impressed!) as Adil and Abu Baker Sarfraz’s photography team prepared to capture the day.

And then came Dr Solosax.

As his music floated across the Secret Garden, guests began to sway, and the vibe shifted -and just like that, the wedding turned from beautiful to unforgettable.
